Technical Courses

Our focus on the development of young engineers and doctoral researchers is facilitated by a formal agreement with the Engineering Department of the University of Pisa in terms of which certain courses carry university accreditation.

Course speakers are typically experts from IFRF’s international membership base of industrial and academic organisations throughout the world. As such IFRF courses cover the state of the art of technology, application, associated problems and their solutions – both as they relate to present or future users in industry and in terms of their importance to the scientific community in planning further research work.

Typically such courses are arranged for a period of 3 to 5 days and attract some 20 or 30 participants from academia, research and industry. The course programme is usually enriched by a visit to an industrial site and/or research facility near to the selected venue.
