The Copenhagen Session – 26th to 28th June 2000
Host: Technical University of Denmark
The International Flame Research Foundation announces
its 15th and 16th Topic Oriented Technical Meetings TOTeMs 15&16

TOTeM15
"Ash and Deposit Formation in Utility Boilers"

TOTeM15 will commence on the evening of the 26th June 2000;
the technical sessions will take place the following day, June 27th.

TOTeM16
"Fine Particles and Trace Metals
from Combustion Processes"

TOTeM16 will commence on the evening of the 27th June 2000 and
the technical sessions will take place the following the day, June 28th.

Our host for these meetings is the Technical University of Denmark-DTU, Lyngby. They are organised as a single event, namely:

"The Copenhagen TOTeMs 2000"

by IFRF NET, the information exchange wing of the IFRF, in co-operation with Dr Flemming Frandsen and his colleagues from the Technical University of Denmark and Professor Jost Wendt of the University of Arizona.

The IFRF cordially invites all its Members Organisations to be represented in "The Copenhagen TOTeMs 2000" sessions. (Attendance at only one of these meetings is also possible.)

The general objectives of Topic Oriented Technical Meetings are to:

  • Examine the developments and trends in relation to the topics under discussion;
  • Determine the long term information requirements;
  • Present this assessment confidentially to its members.

TOTeM15 addresses various aspects including the measurement and prediction of ash and deposit formation in boilers fired on conventional and alternative fuels.

TOTeM16 reviews the problem of emission of fine particles and trace metals from combustion processes - the health implications and mathematical modelling thereof.

Topic Oriented Technical Meetings are open to representatives of all IFRF Member Organisations. If you are not associated with the IFRF but have an interest in the subjects to be discussed, please contact us to explore ways to organise your membership.
